This privacy policy applies only to information collected through this website, www.swn-photography.co.uk.

SWN Photography cares about you and your data and data protection is a high priority for SWN Photography.

 

The formal bit!

The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject shall always be in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in accordance with the UK specific data protection regulations applicable to SWN Photography. By means of this data protection declaration, SWN Photography would like to inform the general public of the nature, scope, and purpose of the personal data we collect, use and process. Furthermore, data subjects are informed, by means of this data protection declaration, of the rights to which they are entitled.

 

As the controller, the SWN Photography has implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed through this website. However, Internet-based data transmissions may in principle have security gaps, so absolute protection may not be guaranteed. For this reason, every data subject is free to transfer personal data to us via alternative means, e.g. by telephone.

 

Your information and SWN Photography:

If you send an email to me, or use the contact page, then in both cases I receive an email into my inbox. I will then reply to that email. I will only receive the information that you have sent to me, such as name, address, email address and phone number.

 

Who is collecting my information?

If you have emailed me directly, then only SWN Photography will see that information. If, however you have contacted my via my website at www.swn-photography.co.uk then the company that looks after my website, Zenfolio, can also see your details too. They keep data simply so that I can have access to that data. They are fully gdpr compliant. They will not pass your information onto third parties. If you place a print order via www.swn-photography.co.uk then the only other party that will see your information is the company that creates the prints, OneVision Imaging. In each case they will only see the information that you supply. They will not share your information with third parties for the purposes of marketing.

 

Why is the information being collected?

Simply, so that I can contact you about your photo session or so that Zenfolio and OneVision Imaging can fulfill your print order.

 

How long do you keep my information?

We are required to keep your basic personal information (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years under UK statutory record retnetion obligations.

We also hold the high-resolution image files from your photo session in archive for up to 6 years from the date of shooting. SWN Photography would not use your images for marketing without having received your full consent in advance.

 

What about cookies?

SWN Photography like many other websites uses cookies. Cookies are small files that are are saved onto the users computers hard drive that track, save and store information about the users activity and usage of the website. SWN Photography uses tracking software provided by Google which uses the cookies to better understand how vistors use the website.

 

Can I turn off cookies?

Yes, you can turn off the cookies on your computer. You can set your browser to refuse all or some cookies. Please be aware that some of this website may become inaccessible or not function properly if you do this.

 

Can I get SWN Photography to erase my information?

Yes, upon request we will delete any personal data we have about you. However this does not include any personal data that we are required to retain by law.
